Needless to say, I had a lot of fun with this. It's probably the most time consuming project I've dedicated my time to, but totally worth it. As of this moment, there is no lining in the bag, but I have fabric that I'm planning on sewing into this bag soon. I forgot how short I am, so the strap is a little too long. I can fix that with a quick slipknot in the top of the strap though. The person modeling the bag is not me, it's ~doodlerTM , my identical twin sister.

The bag is rather large--I think this is because I used much bigger needles than the pattern itself did (the pattern stated gauge didn't matter, just yarn to fit the needle size). Therefore, the bag is big enough to carry several books. Maybe it's something Hermione, Harry, or Ron would take to class with them!
