Description The one and only Doctor Otto Octavius. This took me about three to four hours to draw, with number two pencils and a whole lot of studying references.

I'd like to thank for her excellent work, because I studied some of her drawings to get one or two of the actuators right. Also thank you to for her help with the eyes, hands, and hair on this drawing.

Also note that our good doctor is missing his trademark sunglasses. This is for two reasons. One, because this is movie-verse, and he usually doesn't wear his sunglasses in the movie. And two, because (although I'm not sure) this may be Ghost!Otto. Now, if you don't know what Ghost!Otto is, it's because I made it up. For a fan-fiction story, that is. To read it, I'll lead you here ----> [link]

Anyway, that was much fun, and it didn't turn out that bad. Hope you all like it; I might do more in the future!

DBR was right about your talent with patterns. Your perspective is very cool, too.

You seem to be very detailed.

Thank you!! I based it off of several screen shots from Spider-Man 2 and fan art of other people.

Ooh, now this is quite nice indeed. The detail on the actuators is very well done, though there are, of course, a few little things I'd like to point out:
First, the lower two actuators' claws are actually differently shaped than the upper two. They end in more square-shaped claws - you can clearly see these differences in the movie poster that I'm doing a white charcoal of. (this one: [link] ) Still, it did take me a while to notice the difference so you're fine here on that point. XD

As for the hands, they seem rather stiff and rigid - if he's got his arms to his sides, his hands would most likely also be turned to the side with his fingers curling in slightly and thumbs facing you. But again, hands take muchly practice to even get to a semblance of looking like realistic hands, so kudos to you on how they look here anyway. (Practicing by drawing your own hand is great practice... even though I don't particularly like doing that myself :U)

Then there's the hair that bothers me simply because I feel like it needs moar floofyness to it I've also not gotten this entirely down, so feel free to smack me for nitpicking that.

/critique :U

sorry if you didn't want a critique
I just seem to be stuck in "blather" mode right now :U

Thank you very much for the long critique!! I needed it. You put very many good points here that I like very much. And I do apologize for such a long reply. I really didn't even look.

Well,Chraelix, as this may be her ghostOtto she can get away with flat hair- he did die in the water, after all, and in her fic he's always dripping and soggy.

Crappy way to spend eternity, if you ask me

Chraelix does have a point about the lower actuators- it took me a while to figure that out myself. And the initial scene in the lab does show that the lower set can look like the upper ones...

This looks good, Turtle! I just wanna give him a hug ^_^

Hm, true. That didn't occur to me at the time :U
And yes, it would be crappy to spend an eternity dripping wet. |c

When they're closed, now that I think of it, I think they look like the upper actuators - it's just when they open something else goes 'snkt-snkt-snack' and voilapoof, different. O.o
