Now this turtle here was the one I initially thought was the same species as the turtle in the previous picture. But, as I compared the two of them, I realized that they weren’t the same.

Believe it or not, my family and I saw this Eastern Box Turtle more than once, and we believe it to be the exact same one. We saw him or her two times last year, and two times this year. We have no idea how this turtle got in our backyard or if its been making permanent residence there, but we always found the turtle to be a marvelous creature.
