Description
"Where were you twenty years ago? Ten years ago? Where were you when I was new? When I was one of those innocent young maidens you always come to? How dare you! How dare you come to me now, when I am this!" - Molly Grue, The last UnicornI've always been so emotionally moved by this scene in he 1982 film The Last Unicorn. It's such a heart breaking moment. The character designs in this film version of Peter S. Beagle's book are all stylized and beautiful, so I really wanted to have a go at drawing a piece of fan-art for it. It's one of my nostalgia loves.
Drawn on A4 paper with pencil, lined with ink pen and coloured with pro markers and silver pen. Original is for sale at £15 GBP, just note me if you are interested!

This is lovely, so different from your usual style. It's kind of creepy, but then again the film was too!
And I'm going to say again how much better your real life art is than your computer generated stuff!

Thank you Kiyobean. I'm glad you like it! I will disagree that my traditional art is better though, it's just different. Every art form has it's qualities!

This is gorgeous babe. I love the amount of work in it, from the background to the foreground of leaves. I think the colouring works so nicely with the stylised designs of the film's animation.
I agree with was such an emotional scene, you certainly seem to have captured the feelings so well.
I looooove her outfit and the folds and everything <3

I was happy with the background in the end, wasn't sure how it was going to work but when I started adding errand branches to the trees it was good. I am pleased with the silver detailing in the leaves, it look so sparkle!
