  -   Coat: bright red base color with black legs and a black blaze on her face | unusual red stripes on hind leg joints – three per side | Long blak hair for mane and tail, silky and soft in texture, yet Alana tends to neglect caring for it

Alana is a cool and reserved horse, who's hiding her emotions as deep as necessary, which makes her appear reserved and even cold. Which, though, is not the case at all. Alana is a caring and protective mare, the ones who would take the time to look deeper into her soul will find a warm heart, burried beneath the cold veterans surface. Those horses she in fact values a lot and is indeed thankful for everybody who would do so. They will become close friends, she‘ll protect with her life or just be there for them, no matter about the situation. However, the unemotional traids of her personality are helpful to her to overthink certain situations and to collect informations. Especially if she would listen to someone, her face would turn cold, without her realising it. Furthermore she's extremely self-controlled, no matter about the situation, she would never loose her head nor snap. Alana is very intelligent and as a leader she‘s calculating and prepared for everything. Her skills in war and fighting are without equal and sometimes even in daily situations she acts cool like a army leadress. But she knows the limits and would never fight against innocent or weaker enemies. Her relationships to other horses are mostly impersonal and superficial.

Story

Being born and raised by humans in the US-army, Alana was a warrior from the moment she could walk. Her training was hard and strict, she was trained both, by men and horses. However, her mother was a very caring mare and took care, that Alana would never loose her warm heart.
Once Alana was old enough she was send out into her first battles. She turned out being a very talented warrioress and later she was an even better leadress, who would even exceed her trainers abilities. Alana fought many battles, won and lost, always giving 100 percent to make her missions being successful, but never leaving her people down.
One day she and her group where send to attack a village of native americans. The people and their horses fled or fought back, but they didn’t stand a chance against the US-army. During the battle Alanas rider fell of her back, so she fought on alone, as a mare blocked her way. The native mare refused to follow Alanas orders and attacked her, instead. She was no challenge for Alana and due she refused to retreat, she got killed by Alana. What a waste, she thought, moving on with her mission. Afterwards a few remaining soldiers were to examine the destroyed village. While doing so Alana went back to where she fought the mare and found a dead foal. It made sense now. The native mare refused to retreat, because she was protecting her foal form the army.
This was the moment Alana started to doubt everything she had learned. How good could their missions be, when they killed innocent children? In the following days she couldn’t handle the feeling of guilt and left the humans stable, eventually.

In the following year she was wandering around by herself, finding multiple wild horses and native villages, which she would secretly protect of the army. One day she met the stallion Calamity, who was trying to get into that stable. His herd had been caught by the humans and he would try to free them. Alana tried to stop him from that stupid plan, but he was determined. So she decided to help him. Maybe she could do some good, after all.
The two warriors got into the stable, but where only partially successful, since some of the herd members already got killed, because they had refused to be ridden. Calamities parents included. They were able to free the rest of the horses, but Cale had no place to go to, now anymore. So the decided to travel together. Alana in fact felt somewhat attracted to the stallion. Maybe it was is calm and gentle personality, maybe the fact that they both had nothing left in the world. In the end they became a couple.

After wandering around for another year they came to a beautiful valley filled with silver waterfalls and a herd of horses living there. They were allowed to stay and Cale even became the leading stallion, after he earned the position. Alana though was glad to be „only“ a member and finally to forget the horrors of war time. After they had settled down, Alana eventually became pregnant and gave birth to their son Faith. Finally Alana had found a place to call home and something worth fighting for.

• Alana often tends to behave militray. She doesn’t do so on purpose, it’s just what remains from her past.
• She’s very protective over her son, she might even tend to be over-protective.
• She doesn’t miss being a warrior, yet sometimes she still suffers from nightmares about that time.
