Description
Threshermaws are an ancient species living in the very heart of the Stig, full of nutritious geysers, through which the great Stig feeds his offspring. There are two large groups of threshermaws, based on their usual area of habitat. The first group is called Cavern Shamblers, who dig tunnels using their powerful jaws to make their way to the Nectar of the Stig. The second group, Deep Dwellers, originates from the Shamblers – at some point in the past, severe food shortage made them swim out into the ocean depths in search of new geysers. Their bodies changed, becoming narrow and agile, and their jaws also adapted to the new environment, allowing them to clear the abundant underwater vegetation and get to the hidden geysers. Sometimes, the unexpected happens: young Cavern Shamblers accidentally fall into the ducts of the Nectar, which take them to the surface - but these creatures are not adapted to living there. Blind as bats, they look for food desperately, feeling nothing but uncontrollable rage and destroying everything in their path in an attempt to survive. Once quiet and peaceful creatures, these threshermaws become the Berserked Ones.
