Description In honour of our inner cycles and those that turn around us.
In praise of liquid pushed and pulled, the dance between moon and womb.
In recognition of the ebb and flow that rises and falls.
The releasing of blood and the way small deaths call.

I love the symbolism in this piece, how it can mean so many different things to so many different people. I also really like the purple. Very beautiful.

The title and your comments on the piece lead me to believe the imagine is somehow connected with the female cycle, and more specifically, the connection to the moon. It's a very powerful pull, whether we like it or not. The calming colors, but almost violent splashes and designs show two opposing opinions and moods associated with that period of time. Lastly, the shape of the object she's holding in her lap suggests something rather primitive.

In the end, the piece conveys to me a sense of violent calm. Sort of like it's holding it's breath. It feels very wild and emotional, as well as primitive and a whole bunch of other things.

Did I answer the question well enough?

Wow it was amazing to read that, some of the things were intentional and some not. It's great to hear more back than i intended but still on the same track, expanding it even.

'Violent Calm' I like that, i have a fascination for oxymorons that bring us to a new understanding of things. One of my favourites is Humble Magnificent and Sweet Curse (not quite right but i love it just the same).

Thanks x
