Description Here's Arabella's complete reference sheet! I did some more thinking on the Candlefolk kind she's a part of, you can read it down below if you're interested but it's pretty long...

Details about Arabella:

Arabella is usually calm, shy and kind with people, even with rude ones. Keeping her calm is a big part of her life. She cares for everyone, so much that she often forgets to take care of herself.

She is a pacifist and hates to use violence, but when she does loose control and becomes angry, the souls are also agitated, reflecting her anger. They can appear and disappear incoherently, and whispers threats and violent thoughts in Arabella's head. If the anger is powerful enough, they can even whisper them in the enemy's head.

Arabella, like some other Candlefolks, has a strong bond with her souls, and can request their assistance even when angered. The strongest spirits are able to use telepathy and telekinesis, and by extension, Candlefolk can use this skill against the people who angered them.

She is hard-working and punctual; she hates handing out her paper late or ditching class. Although she seems quite serious at first glance, Arabella is quite naïve and an airhead, and like to spend time daydreaming. She's also a little clumsy, especially when she's flustered or the center of attention, which she dislikes greatly.

Aside from that, one of her dirty secrets is how she loves gossiping with the souls that stick to her. They gather info about other people that Arabella enjoys to listen to, although she keeps all those secret to herself.

Candlefolk Lore:

Some human souls cannot find peace after death, and appear as little floating flames in the mortal realm, will-o-wisps. They are attracted by soothing lights that quiet the past mortal worries that plague them, but they're also addicted to life force, and are going to stick to anyone or anything alive to steal a little of it, to feel alive again. Humans affected by those spirits usually feel tired, can't sleep good and are in bad mood. To counter their mischief, Candlefolks appeared.

No one really knows how or why, although there are many legends and explanations. The most popular one is about spirits unbelievably kind, but that couldn't find peace after death, that haunted the flames of candles to feel the warmess of life again. After a while, the candles would gain human features, and eventually become Candlefolks: human looking figures made of wax, with still a soothing flame above their head: their soul

Candlefolks' flame, due to their magical nature, is a natural bait for lost souls, that would rather stick to it than any human. They can constantly feel the soothing warmth and life force of the etheral flame. The flame can be extinguished by normal ways (water, wind) since it represent the soul of the Candlefolk, but it will reappear as soon as it can, the wick doesn't get consumed either. Alcohol and other strongemotions can change the flame's shape and colour for some Candlefolks.

A Candlefolk plagued by mutliple souls will not feel the same as a human: at worst, they will hear multiple voices in their heads: the souls communicating. At best, a Candlefolk can create a friendly bond with the souls, and can request their help anytime. Arabella developped a bond with the souls that plague her flame and treat them like brothers and sisters. She enjoys gossiping with them. Some souls manage to find out secrets about other people and they like to share it with Arabella.

An angry Candlefolk is the reason they're known as “monsters”. Their flames grow brighter, hotter and wilder, the wax drips down and can cover and burn the Candlefolk's clothes. Some parts of their humanoid body can change with the wax melting. Most of the time, the souls are not visible, or the Candlefolk can shoo them away, although their voice are constantly there in their head. They usually appear when the Candelfolk is flustered, upset or sad.
