Description Second character of my Monsterboys series!

Details about Anil:

Anil is an Avatar of Vishnu which was created based on Garuda, father of all birds and Vishnu's mount. His feathers and colours are reminiscent of the Black Drongo, a common passerine bird in India.

He is naturally calm and quiet, and thinks highly of himself. It's surprisingly easy to hurt his ego though, and he will retaliate with harsh words and a death glare.

He likes theatre and reading most of all and is well aquainted with Junko thanks to that. They spend many hours talking and creating plays together. He avoids sports and doesn't like flying that much, but he finds his wind powers useful to clean up behind him.

He has a very sweet tooth, and will accept any kind of pastry. As a reward, he may not judge you as harshly as he does with the others. This is the only kind of flattery that can buy him though. He hates flattering words as he's never sure if they are truthful.

He's the loner type, or prefers rather little company. Two persons can be too much for him most of the time. He's an introvert with conceited attitude.

No one really knows why he hangs around monsters if he doesn't see himself as one, but he refuses to even talk about the matter. But people thinks he keeps an eye on them as if to check if monsters would one day take over the human realm and throw the universe off-balance.

Avatar of Vishnu Lore:

Anil and his kin are not an individual race, or “monsters”. In Hindu mythology, Vishnu's avatars are entities summoned by the God Vishnu himself to preserve balance in the cosmos by fighting off evil forces taking over.

There is ten major Avatars known in Hindu mythology, but there are many more that exists. They are said to be innumerable.

Avatars can take many forms, but they tend to remain hidden or unaware of their goal until they are called upon by Vishnu.

All of them are powerful in their own way. Vishnu lent part of his powers to all of his avatars on Earth. Some Avatars are able to use magic.

They are said to not age, but are mortal and can be killed. When one dies, the Avatar's essence and life force goes back to Vishnu.

There is no such thing as rogue Avatars, they are all the essence of Vishnu and thus have no reason to betray their creator

I am not an expert on Hinduism, all my knowledge comes from Wikipedia! If I do happen to interpret something the wrong way or offend Hindu people, please let me know and I’ll take down this character and redesign him!
