Details about Kaj:
Kaj is the definition of “chill”. He doesn't like getting angry or sad, and is generally very calm and always smiling. He is a pacifist, a protector of the forests and is just used to scare people away from them to avoid any problems. “Better safe than sorry.”
He has, as you can se, the worst fashion sense. He litterally doesn't care about what he's wearing as long as he's got his bright red shorts.
His favourite sport is, surprisingly, fighting. Boxing, Judo, you name it! Doesn't mean he is good at all of them though, but he enjoys learning and watching those sports. He likes rivalling his strength with Abigail's. She's very strong in her monster form, and fast too. These friendly brawling sessions usually end with a tie, and the spectators always go home frightened by the view.
He doesn't remember how he was born, and has no idea if he used to be human, but doesn't care that much after centuries of roaming the lands. In fact, if he was human, he is grateful to not remember his past and former family and friends. His earliest memory is waking up in the Amazonian forest.
He is, not so surprisingly, good with kids, even human ones (as long as they don't enter the forest he's in). His friendly attitude makes him a social magnet, everyone just likes being around him, and he likes the company.
He enjoys helping people with his strength, it gives a boost to his ego, so he'll be the first to volunteer to help a friend move/reach the top shelf/carry heavy things.
Treants Lore:
Treants and forest spirits does not feed the usual way: they only need photosynthesis to live, which explains why they rarely feel healthy during winter and rainy days. Although some treants are evergreens, other can shed their plants and look bare during winter season, or full of flowers during spring season. They have no control over this.
Their bark is as hard as steel when healthy, and a treant can create different shapes with it, useful for both attack and self defense. For example, a treant's limbs can shift to become hammers, or shields. They can also grow like roots to imprison something or someone.
Treants are not usually harmful monsters, but they are nature's guardians and will act as such if something or someone threatens nature's wellbeing. They usually scare the threat away if possible, they don't kill much, but are able to if needed.
A lot of treants are blind, but it does not bother them much, as they are gifted with the capacity to feel the earth's vibrations around them. Every vibration will be percieved by their feet.
Some treants are born from nature's will, others are people that died lost in a forest, and cursed to wander it as its new guardian for eternity. An old treant will eventually “die” and turn into a tree, but their consciousness remain. They are known as the massive, centuries-old trees of many sorts.
Treants can hear and communicate with nature, and by extension animals and plants. They are the best gardener or pet caretaker you could ever come across.
Treants can be spooky too. When unleashing their full potential, a treant's body will crack open at different places to let a bright light filter through the cracks. This light can heal as much as it can burn and blind upon contact, and is used in last resort. The cruelest and most defensive treants remain in this broken form while wandering the forests
