Description My first ACTUAL render (don't count the one I did in Maya ages ago with newbish lights etc), and my first tribute to the amazing (not Spiderman ), Bioshock: Infinite! Tried Blender a few days ago, took me more time to get accustomed to the interface than learn how to import a model/fix it/render it. At least now I don't close Blender every time I make some interface change. Not even kidding...

Btw this was a terribly fruitless day, accomplished so little of my nerdy goals and uploading this one makes me feel like the whole day wasn't entirely a waste. I know there's some errors, I didn't seem to figure out how to fix them but I couldn't stand the idea of not sharing my very first Lizzie render. Maybe I'll 'shop them out one day, or fix them in Blender, or (most likely) move on to other scenes, I don't know. Have this for now, and I hope you like it as much as I enjoyed making it.

So yeah, expect more actual 3D stuff since I'm lovin' it so far, and definitely more Bioshock stuff since I'll love it till Hell freezes over, it seems!

Posed in XNALara, rendered in Blender, post processing done in Photoshop CS5.

Full size: 2903 x 3590 (totally didnt risk afking in boss pull while this thing was rendering TOTALLY PERFECT TIMING, ME)

I'd like to know what you think!

Way better than my first render, depth of field wasnt something I understood until months later

Some quick advice though would be to cut the resolution, I dread to think what the final rendering time of this was at being near enough 4k resolution.
This will save you so much time in the future with little detail being sacrificed!

Oh thank you! It wasn't long at all though, barely a full minute or two of rendering o_o Didnt use all that many light sources or an environment though, only rendered the model.

Ah thats ok then, just decrease it if you do any complex lighting, I had to wait 20 hours for one picture and a friend had to wait around 90

You really dont want to be in that position!

I really dont, plus I'd have to spend that time praying for my gfx card to handle it!

But thank you for the feedback, I'll keep that in mind

This is really good for a first render! Mine was so bad; I'm too ashamed to post it. You managed to convey a great amount of emotion through the hands and facial expression.

You think so?! Damn, I've been through your gallery and thought "I'll never be that good " so I'm sure it was a hella lot better than mine! But anyway your comment here means a lot, thanks
