The ever-delicious Zatanna. Yxes on?
The grey tones of the skin are intentional before anyone points out. I was going for a monochromatic feel with only splashes of colour such as her eyes, blush and red satin details.

is just love this picture! she is my 3rd favorite DC character! behind black canary, and wonder woman....i agree with femmes fatales about the simplicity of the character, but i love that you gave her more detail, and lines through out! i lovvvve the pentagram buttons on her coat.....just great! she looks like a mixture of serinda swan, and julia voth!

i was hoping she would be given the chance to play a live action catwoman! but nooo, she is voicing her instead....oh well. and i have watched multiple interviews with her, and she is so funny, and super nice to everyone!

It's always nice to see you draw Zatanna. You always draw her with such a mystical air about her. It's quite nice.
Although, I can't help but feel like there's a lot going on with the costume and the details veer off into frou-frou territory. There's all the buttons, the clips on the garters, the lines on the corseted jacket, pouffy shoulders, the shirt peeking out from the jacket at the bottom and pentagram earrings. I've always seen Zatanna as a more simplistic character in her style of dress. I can see how certain elements would work individually but thrown together the outfit becomes a little distracting.
HOWEVER, you're always so successful with these limited colour images (you did one of Wonder Woman not too long ago, no?). With Zatanna, you've placed red in all the right places which ultimately frames her wonderfully drawing attention to her face. Because you chose to tone down her make-up (as opposed to giving her red lips for example), her blue eyes really stand out. And kudos on the curlier hair.
