She doesn't carry herself with any poise or grace, but she does walk around with somewhat of a swagger stride with her tail and head lifted high. For her facial build, she has thick brows that are set in a permanent furrow, making her look angry or annoyed despite any emotion she may be feeling. Also, her eyes are sharp and she has prominent lashes right underneath

PERSONALITY

Courageous - Reckless

Guided by emotions rather than forethought and logic, Beanie has a tendency to act without caution or tact, regardless of the situation at hand. Since she is rather sensitive and fairly quick to snap, Beanie is very likely to ruin dire situations if it means keeping on track or staying quiet. However, as she grows up, she is starting to recognize this as a flaw, but that still doesn't allow her to actually caution herself by any means whatsoever. She will always remain fearless though, and it is unlikely she'd ever back down from a direct challenge from anyone or anything.

Devoted - Selfless

Once you have managed to rightfully earn Beanie's trust, she is yours for the keeping, and she will cling on and never let go. Friends are not easy for the sharply tongued canine to come by, however, which is why she remains faithful to the ones she manages to obtain while doing anything in her power to show her deep undying loyalty. Her bonds are unbreakable, but that isn't to say her sense of responsibility is limited to only those she deems as close, rather her kindness and sense of duty tend to extend to anyone who may be in need of assistance, especially the ones placed in unfair or life-threatening situations, and usually she'll provide aid without much second thought.

Genuine - Sarcastic

She's not all sharp and sour! She happens to be quite nice to canines she likes, and even humorous too. But still, she is quite blunt and is never one to beat around the bush on any situation, always providing the rawest thought right from her mind, allowing her to speak freely and boldly whether or not anyone wants to hear it. But since she's not all too serious all the time, she quite likes sprinkling light into some situations by offering a laid-back charm and sarcasm. Her straightforward nature remains surfaced even while she jests, which can often times make her come off as insensitive or rude, so her jokes can be either stinging or comedic depending on how you view it.

Compassionate - Arrogant

Though it does not show easily, Beanie is quite empathetic and compassionate at heart, especially to those within her faction and as well as allies. She'd never extend her kindness to those she hates most or those she believes deserve the worst of punishments. She is most cold to any dogs that opposed of the Rebellion during the Strays Invasion; mainly Junkyard and outcasted dogs. Though she would act cold and harsh to her enemies, she'd never turn a blind eye if she had truly believed they needed help, but the arrogance she holds within her thought-process prevents her from acting on her sympathy beyond her firm beliefs.

Extraverted - Flirtatious

Ever since being promoted to Grand Marshall, Beanie has been recently discovering that she quite likes socializing with other dogs and getting to know them better. Even with the Strays Faction being loose on its pack terms, she quite prefers being around others and chatting and collaborating, usually working together to resolve a common issue. She finds herself far less lonely ever since her contribution to the Stray society. Now that Bea is maturing and getting older, she is recently finding herself quite interested in males, but mostly out of curiosity. Unbeknownst to her, she actually flirts with other dogs she finds good looking, usually innocent teasing though, and most of it kind of experimental.

Judgemental - Unforgiving

First impressions are very important if you wish to get on Beanie's good side, and this is mostly because her thoughts and judgments are usually formulated upon first observation or perhaps even from town gossip alone, regardless of how factual or false her opinions actually are. The confidence she has in her initial judgment of others allows her to firmly stick close to those beliefs as she treats others in accordance to however she views them. It doesn't stop at just one individual, however. If one happens to already be on negative terms with Beanie, she is very much likely to assume any other group of canines associated with that particular dog is nothing short of bad news and she gauges her judgments based on that, believing it to be absolute and justified. Her critical attitude has given her a rather vindictive personality, so if anyone has wronged her, her family, or friends, she will gladly react with an aggressive need for vengeance. If anyone who had once been a friend of Beanie's and manages to betray her, she will most likely shut them out of her life, probably for good.

Insecure - Possessive

Although it does not appear at her surface, Beanie constantly craves the approval and regard of others, and can often stress, get frustrated, or maybe even lash out aggressively if she does not receive the attention she wants or believes she deserves. The self-loathing she once held for herself, however, has been diminishing as of late; with her being very close to her half-sibling, Cardigan and as well as being promoted as the Grand Marshall for the strays, but she still has a tendency to go overboard with the relationships she develops with others and can be clingy and even obsessive. It may be contradictory to her outer personality, but Beanie is truly selfish when it comes to her relationships and wishes for only herself to remain center of attention. She will never tolerate being second best.

HISTORY

Pre-Group

Beanie, named Marley at the time, had been born in a city far away from Canidale alongside her two other siblings; Aubrie and Wyatt. Their mother, Quinn, was a purebred Dachshund that specialized in breeding at a Puppy Mill before she had been purchased in order to train and pursue the life of a hunting dog.

Quinn had been fairly content with her new life, favoring it over the increasingly poor conditions maintained at the Puppy Mill she was bought from. No longer did she breed and birth puppies like clockwork. She was free. She had a newfound life-fulfilling purpose, and she loved it more than anything else.

However, fate was destined to draw Quinn away from the life she was fond of as she fell in love with a city stray. Or perhaps, more importantly, she had fallen in love with a mutt. Once Quinn had figured out she had become pregnant, she panicked. She panicked at the thought of the consequences that might ensue due to the fact her new litter was mixed blood and not purebred. Her fear derived from unpleasant memories of Puppy Mill, where regular operations required healthy 100% pure puppies and dogs. If standards weren’t met, pups were either killed, abandoned, or sold off. Quinn didn’t want that -- not for her litter. Not when she was aware she was free and had a choice. Afterall, she had never had a chance to properly raise any offspring. Uncertain what her human may or may not have done, Quinn ultimately decides to flee her treasured home and life to live with her mate in the city and raise her litter.

While Marley (Beanie) doesn’t remember a whole bunch from her childhood, except for her parents teaching her and her siblings a few valuable lessons here and there and also how to hunt for animals, she does remember loving her family very deeply. Marley was the most troublesome of the three and would always explore and get into trouble, making her quite the curious, loud, and energetic pup.

It had been 4 months of cherished times before Quinn had begun to change. Marley’s mother yearned for her old life as a hunting dog. Quinn’s heart tugged as depression washed over her. After being away from a life that had given so much purpose, she felt empty. Quinn didn’t quite hide the way she felt either. She blatantly distanced herself from her mate and pups, soon coming to a point where she hardly spoke with them. It didn’t take long before the weight of her depression became too much to bare and she decided to return back to her old home.

She had wanted to take her children with her, but fear and dread lingered within her as she thought of the possibility of what would happen if her human was to reject her children, and that instantly made her conclude that she couldn't bring them. Quin also wanted to tell her mate about her leave, but she decided against it. He would’ve definitely attempted to dissuade her, or perhaps offer to come with her. She knew she was just going to have to hold on faith that her mate would do a proper job in raising their offspring. So, without a word, Quinn vanished to return back to the life her heart longed for.

When the family had discovered Quinn’s sudden disappearance, they were devastated and heartbroken, but definitely not the least bit surprised. Marley had done her best coping with her mother’s abandonment by trading her sadness for resentfulness, bitterness, and guilt. Marley had desperately wished that she could’ve been purebred, along with her siblings and father, so that they could train and live as hunting dogs. She hated the fact her mother loved a life with her human more than her family. But above all else, she hates the fact her mother left without as much as a goodbye.

The three pups continued to live together with their father looking after them. However, the siblings had been entirely reliant on each other on survival as their father, too, distanced himself. Their father had been wrapped up with grief ever since his mate left him. Marley assumed that her father didn’t want to care for them anymore if he couldn’t with Quinn, and soon came to hate him too. It didn’t come as a surprise when he did leave. Even her siblings saw it coming. At this point, the trio was 5 months old and alone.

Marley was very close to her siblings, Aubrie and Wyatt. They were entirely co-dependent, heavily reliant on teamwork to persevere on the streets. It had been difficult, cruel, and unforgiving, but their siblinghood managed to allow the three to pull through, but that too wasn’t meant to last.

Wyatt had seemed to mysteriously turn ill. Deathly ill, in fact, and the two sisters were at an end on ways they could potentially save their brother. However, Aubrie soon comes to the decision that it would be best if they were to go find and live with their mother, hoping that Wyatt would be cared for properly. Marley is utterly appalled by this and instantly disagrees, deeming it foolish. Afterall their mother not only left them, but she had also initially fled her forest due to her fear of what would happen to her mix-blooded pups. Aubrie refuses to change her mind and states that it was the only chance they had to save Wyatt. Marley, in turn, refuses to go with her siblings and parts ways on ill terms, calling out betrayal and abandonment.

Hurt and broken, Marley ultimately decides to leave her birth city, hoping she never sees any of her traitorous family members again. Even so, she lingers before leaving; returning to the place -- the bed-- in which she was birth and raised in. Inspite of her bitterness, she chooses to take an item from the bedding as a sentiment  -- a memento -- for the days past of her fondly remembered in early puphood. Despite what the item means to her, Marley resentfully names herself after it, changing the name given by her parents in exchange for her own; Beanie.

---------------

In-Group

After being abandoned by all of her family, Beanie moved on to Canidale, which would bring her many cold lonely nights, but that wasn't to last forever as a lucky fortune fell upon her nearly a week's time since she became a new resident to the bustling city; she met her half-sister Cardigan, who introduced her to the structure and roles dog's played out in Canidale within the four (at the time) factions. Though skeptical at first, Beanie soon managed to make her home among the other city dwellers and even sooner grew more accustomed to the stray's society, but usually, she'd spend most of her days building her everlasting friendship with the Pet's leader and family member, Cardigan.

A few months later, Stray's leader, Fred, allies the strays with the junkyard faction to form a strong force which would be used to take out the pets. Upset and outraged, Beanie takes involvement in the war by siding with her sister and helping the Strays form a rebellion so that Fred would be taken down once and for all. She and some others work alongside Chevy, the second in command to Fred to overthrow the leader of the strays, and they all reach victory. After severing ties with the Junkyard, allying with pets, and claiming his rightful place as true leader of the Strays, Chevy appoints Beanie as his Grand Marshall, and together the two of them work diligently to make their faction a safe environment for all dogs in need.

Trivia!

-Smells earthy; like after-rain.
-Beanie is as ill-mannered as she is because she simply doesn't know any better. Her mother hadn't disciplined her properly.
-Beanie has Astraphobia. Thunderstorms are one of her biggest weaknesses. However, she loves rain and getting wet.
-She has a loathing for humans, but recently has been trying to shut those feelings out. As for Pets. she still thinks they are rather incompetent and slothish.
-Loves fresh kill (especially plump rodents!) over garbage. Bea will look for things to hunt before eating from the trash can. A bit of a picky eater.
-Beanie is extremely unattracted to droopy dogs or ones with excess wrinkles.. She personally refers to them as "Flappy-jaws", "Snort", or "Fold-face".
-She uses her beanie as a pillow whenever and wherever she sleeps.
-Gets jealous extremely easily
-If you try to steal/play with her beanie, prepare to face her ultimate wrath!
-Beanie used extremely harsh curse words when she is angriest.
-Says 'like', 'dude' ,'bro', 'man' and 'ya know?' alot
