I love this scene in the movie. It couldn't be better. Victor & Victoria can be happy together now and Emily is going to Heavens and she won't be unhappy anymore ^-^I don't own anything!!

I probably should have put some of that last comment about the final scene in here, but again, all three of them can be happy since Victor and Victoria can be together, and Emily will finally go up to heaven. I think some people wonder exactly what happens to Emily here and why, but I think I can explain it as much as possible. Emily finally accepted the fact that her chance to be a bride has come and gone, so she does the right thing by stepping aside for the couple. Then having her murder avenged by having Barkis killed freed her from her desire to get married. She initially wanted to be set free by getting married, but now she realizes that she is free in a different way, and that's how Victor helped her. She turns into butterflies because they have a symbolic meaning of freedom, and I feel that her spirit is set free from her dead body, and she goes up to heaven. I actually read some stories about the film from this author on FanFiction, and she had really cool thoughts that make sense to me, in that people who die go to the Land of the Dead to complete any unfinished business, and when they do, they are finally set free and go to heaven in the form of ethereal elements, like Emily does in the end.
