Never mind that jackalopes have long since been confirmed as a hoax.

I made this for 's Creature prompt. My mind quickly found it's way to the subject of cryptids. And I learned something that shocked me (but probably shouldn't have.) Did you know that the platypus used to be a cryptid? Like... way back in the late 18th century/early 19th century. When presented with the carcass of a playtpus, people wrote it off as a sewn together fake. Much like our jackalope friend. Though... again, he really was a sewn together fake...

In other news, I continue on in my never ending quest to learn how to freaking color. This time I tried out some brushes from this water coloring tutorial . It would probably help if I actually knew how to use water colors in real life.
