Description
This mask is made from paperclay and modeled after the mask Bellatrix Lestrange wore in the HP movies. I created this as a present for a friend who is an even bigger fan than I am.All in all it was pretty difficult to give away!
...since everyone keeps asking how long this took to make I decided to post the answer here.... The initial form took about an hour and then 2 days to dry. I then sanded for another hour or so and made some minor shape adjustments. After everything dried again, it took about 4 hours to paint and finish. All in all about 6 hours spread out over the course of 4 days.

This. Is. Gorgeous.
I love the slightly feminine, almost pretty aspect in the curling veins. Lovely, creepy and awesome.

Amazing. Any Harry Potter die-hard like myself would pay a rather nice sum of money for something like this. Gorgeous work of art.

Great mask you are quite skilled if I do say.
If I may ask, is your mask on any sort of base (for support or shape)? or is it freestanding(all paperclay)?

Sorry for the late comment, I forget to check my messages. When making the mask a support was needed while the paperclay was drying. After it dried I removed it. The mask has ribbon ties so that it can be worn.
