Description
"Mangingisda" is a tagalog word meaning fisherman. This is an experiment i did with pastel on white paper. 16"X24"i am still trying to feel the spirit of the pastel so hope to get some reaction on what you feel on this one.
THis is part of a project that i am working on with a friend who will be writing a book about Filipino Masses. SO hope you guys enjoy!!!

In every stroke of pastel in the paper there is passion in it! You can see the different or degree of darkness or lightness in it. In every stroke, you feel the conviction of the artist's vision of interpretation.

thanks...hard pastel toh. I am trying to practice in color na. At bigger scale. Nanibago yata ako pero still working on it. Need more practice i guess.

This is so fucking beautiful. You've combined your great flowing drawing ability with color this time and your choice of hues and timbres is impeccible.

this is something new for you. doing something you already master in a new medium as well as a bigger canvas... as don said... once you get comfortable with it.. then you can produce pieces that transcend what you conveyed when you did the pencil ones..
You have great promise in doing this... If only those works are up for sale... This will suit very nicely in our new room

Yeah still trying to feel it. At nakikita ko na yung mga problema ng style ko sa bigger scale. But hope to experiment more. but i am enjoying this one. so i will do more definitely.

ayus to pare....kaya lang cguro nasanay lang sila sa mga hard defined strokes mo sa pencils,pens, markers,
as a starter maganda to....ang importante yung style mo e di nawala sa medium....
at mahahalata mo rito na medyo di ka pa masyadong confident sa medium na to...kasi yung stokes mo e maikli at mataba compared dun sa pencils w/c is mastered mo na...so suggestion ko..is keep on working wag kang matakot at marami kang pambili jan...heheeh....keep on experimenting..lalabas din yan malapit na...
anyway this is another mastery....keep it up...

maraming salamat don sa iyong pagpayo. tama ka dyan medyo takot pa ako sa pastel at pigil pa galaw ko hindi katulad ng pencil i just draw straight. dito gumagawa pa ako ng outliine. so tentative pa...i will do more para mawala yung takot. Check mo yung pangalawa....medyo loose at soft ang approch ko. i am still experimenting sa pastel at may mga nadidiscover pa ako mga technique. so keep on your comments ist really helps.

This looks a little diffrent. Di ko ma point out. Pero parang may space, siguro naninivabago ako sa border mo. Pero meron akong taong nakikita at mga isda.

hindi pa makapagstart sa canvas..practice muna sa pastel. pero malapit na mukang nagangati na kamay ko sa paint. pero titiis muna at preprepare ng place.
