Description Did this in SAI paint. Wanted to test my flat-brush skills. Turned out alright, methinks. But I'd love to hear some critique back. Giving humanoids an interesting vulpine face can be a tough thing. I'll keep working on this until I have facial features I can get behind.

Lilmothiit concept is brought to you by Bethesda Softworks

I'm thinking of racial power & skills for them. Skills: 25 alchemy, 20 alteration, 20 light armor, 20 sneak, 20 pickpocket, 20 lockpicking.

Passive: drinking potions are 5% effective.

Power: be Invisible for 30 seconds.

Hey! I saw your artwork, and it's inspired me to write a noncanon/canon story! This race has always interested me, and I should be posting soon.

I am very happy to hear that I wouldn't mind reading what you write.Β

Very little being written, means there is room for a writter to come up with concepts of their own, such as where they went, and what their special abilities are, maybe khajiit night eye, and argonian his skin?

Β

I don't know, but I believe that the Lilmothiit can have an appearance like a variety of canines from a fox to a wolf. This could make for very interesting in game character creations that's for damn sure.

I'm still working on the history and culture part. I haven't quite thought up the racial skills, but I am making them more sea-faring types, so there may be some water-based elements to them. By far the biggest challenge I'm facing is how they coexisted with the other beast races, primarily the Khajiiti, as well as remaining somewhat correct with world history.

They're greatest footprint was Black Rose, and yet it's really the only major one of note. That isn't to say that there aren't others beneath the sands of Elsweyr's deserts, but I don't remember reading about anything of note there either, as it seems their are plenty of buried ruins peppered about that province. It's a bit of a problem of 'how to make them relevant without making them evident", if that makes any sense.

As a note, I don't plan to make this a 'discovering the lost Lilmothiit nation', though I do want to leave hints at where they ended up. I've created a Wordpress page that will talk more about the mod in it's entirety; the site in question is still in development, though.

Good luck with all that, I hope it all works out as you are planning for it to work out. It all sounds reasonable so far and logical, even the parts that initially may not make sense seem to make sense to me. I too read about Black Rose and the ruins buried in Elsweyr. The ruins could be Lilmothiit; if they were related to Khajiit then I see no reason why they couldn’t have been in Elsweyr at some point. Perhaps they are native to Elsweyr, maybe the ancient Khajiit drove them to Black Marsh? As for where they went likely another land and from there who knows really.

I’m working on Lilmothiit for RP purposes my self, and going by what I read that they can have varying appearances. However anything else I’m trying to work in and have it fit in The Elder Scrolls world and that. The one character I created so far…is a pirate, rather fun character to use.

I have a basic layout of their history so far. Still doing cross-referencing with the regional history, but there's never really enough to stamp down anything. (I read a book from Daggerfall that talked about a Dark Elf who road on a dragon called Akatosh on the "Biography" title, so there are inconsistencies here and there within the game settings themselves.)

Sounds interesting. I'll be posting more and more stuff as it's developed. I'm not terribly great with updates, but I try.Β

If you go by the Khajiit understanding of it all, nothing of the Imperial or Nord belief would make a great deal of sense, just like any religion really. I'm sure it'll all come together in the end.

The way I have the Lilmothiit so far is they are a sea fearring folk, fishermen, merchants, pirates, and sailors. My pirate captain utilizes his argonians for matters involving salvage from sunken wrecks. Creating a new insland has been fun, can go outside the TES Lore a bit for it.

lol The best kind of the lore: vague, and open to interpretation. ;D

Heck yes! I do believe that sometimes Bethesda puts stuff out there for TES just to see what fans come up with. In terms of the Lilmothiit it's been fun working something out, and throwing in pirates that really is something else that in terms of the Elder Scrolls lore does not have much written. Still it's all good in the end just makes it more fun.

There's surprisingly very little on this species, so I'm having to read up on the history of Nirn, so I can write up a basic history.
