Description Felt like drawing HP Lovecraft's Cthulhu. Speaking of Cthulhu, has anybody heard that Guillermo del Toro (director of "Hellboy" and "Pan's Labrynth") has signed on to direct and write his own adaptation of Lovecraft's seminal work "At the Mountains of Madness?" Latinoreview posted a review of his script and they said it was probably one of the best scripts they ever read. Sadly the studio execs don't seem too thrilled about it since it does not contain a romance or even a happy ending (it is Lovecraft after all. Finding a happy ending with him is like asking for pizza and getting a sock), but that doesn't really matter if you think about the monsters that are in it: giant albino penguins, starfish blob things and octopus-headed demons, it's like John Carpenter's "The Thing" on roids. I can't wait for 2010!

I know I'm not exactly at 3000 views yet, but I decided to upload this in advance just for the hell of it. I would like to thank everyone who has watched or commented on my work for their support, as well as the other artists here I admire for inspiring to continue my work. Happy Chrismahanukwannzakah!

So ...Del toro and Lovecraft ... a good choice. I'm excited about Del toro ever since Hellboy, and after Pan's Labyrinth I didin't know if he could top himself, but i think he will ... Does "Madness' have Cthulu in it or just some of the others from the pantheon? I only read a few short stories of Lovecraft and while Cthulu should be one, sadly I haven't read it yet. This is great work though. Congrats on the Awakening at 3000.

Cthulhu makes an appearance in flashback, I think.

Ah ... thats why I love H.P. Lovecraft sooo much. Haunting stuff ... but subtle

If I remember right, the Dunwich Horror has a fairly happy ending, in that the monster gets killed and the heroic characters survive. Still, wonderful news. Del Torro is one of my favorite directors.

Also, wonderful drawing of Old Squid Head.

I wanna see how Cthulhu looks on film, if they include him since he only appears in a flashback.
