Shame that these babies must be shrinked....lookit dat!
...but when the script says: "panel 14, roughly the same size as the last one - " and you go "Panel 14?!? Whaddaya nuts? Ah, well....."
Writer folks often seem to forget that there isn't an unlimited amount of space on a single page..

It's funny because a lot of criticism I hear on the mosaics is that readers feel things are 'tacked on' or just added for shock. They never seem to grasp that hey it's a one-pager! Things aren't tacked on, we just don't have the space to accommodate all of the story we want to tell. I would think that's obvious but the more time I spend with clients that don't understand art, the more I see that's not the case.

one-pagers can be brilliant stuff, but only if they're accomodating a story that can FIT on one page....and doubling the amount of panels but making them twice as small is not how it's done.
This one could have had few panels less, but the piece was quite good....I've seen one-pagers with so many tiny stuff crammed in, makes the page look like a rape victim.

It was my fault really. I wanted to put a fight scene in a mosaic since most of the time there's hardly any action in 'em.

No "fault" there, mister
True that about fight scenes...maybe coz it's hard to actually 'tell' anything through such scene, story-wise.
...but this fight flashback + monologue is something different, it manages both.
I gotta remember this for the future
