If you can manage to learn how to do lines repeatedly without the transform tool, it will help you for more complicated animations with angles and such as you will become accustomed to redrawing already. I'm in this process as well to be honest.

Left foot looks like it's drunk. Fix the wobbliness, add detail, and brush up on it a bit more and you've got yourself a sexy avatar.
