...with some tech.Ayyyye, Vex comes back from retirement to show off how mediocre my mech cockpits look. Was tempted to just throw this in with XEN concept work but I am not really sure how much I like the mech cockpit and also I'm not going to try and make characters for a story I have no part in planning or creating. Tech and places can be done no problem because they are just backdrop and set pieces. But yeah, I just wanted to try a shading style that a friend recommended I try.

I guess so, that is what google images says is the closest looking to what I drew. xd I didn't think that far ahead so I guess I am lucky that I got that close to a real thing.

I love all the little details such as the words and wires on some of the associated electronics and gizmos within the mech. You always were the king of tiny details in your work, pal!
And I like those little dot things glowing on her hands and chest, for some reason. I always found that technique visually appealing on artwork.
This technique is called "Ben-Day Dots", am I correct?

The dots are highlights of the blue screens on Vex. As for the name of the technique I had no idea what it was called so I looked it up and it is indeed named "Ben-Day Dots."

no I mean it's good
just the thing that bothers me is that it looks like the top and lower part of the cockpit aren't aligned.

Its perspective mostly, but the top and bottom don't match anyways because they aren't supposed to.
