I'm pretty sure it's in CS but maybe not thinking back on it...Hmmm. I updated to CS2 pretty quickly. If you do have it it'll be under Object>LiveTrace>Tracing options

Less cartoony looking, more of a genuine horror-comic feel to the robot. Lovin' it, mang.

Apart from the LiveTrace function and a couple of other small functions, the program is overall pretty much the same.

Yeah Livetrace is the thing!
Cool how you tweaked it, to save all the detais in your sketch... Really looks like an unaltered drawing..

Thanks man, yeah it still took a fair bit of tweaking around in photoshop to allow me to keep the finer details and then some more again in Illustrator but i'm happy with the end resutls

Oh... i need to put my hands into CS2!
Well, i thought it was to scketch 'live' on illustrator. Its a little hard to do alot of lines with a tablet right now!
But that already sounds/looks really good!
Great colors and Great art //
I LUV your style man!

Thanks dude. Illustrator CS2 is pretty good but other than the LiveTrace function the rest of the program is pretty much identical to CS.

It's a vector trace function, which essentially turns scanned linework into pretty nicely detailed vector work

Looks tight man.
So this was a roughish sketch that looks nice and stylized using this technique?
