Wonderful job Mark! I really like this one. I have a perfect model for that outfit...

That outfit started life as a nice soft plaid flannel. I'll use it that way soon.

did you make the material look tranparents, or did it render like that? like image though

I took your plaid and messed with it in the materials room. I actually like the way your fabric looks to start with, you gave it a very thick and soft look. I experimented with the clothes and then I couldn't figure out how to put them back the way they came. Your original plaid rendered just fine in my test renders.

lol can't you just reload the clothes to get the original material back

Yep, but it took me so long to figure out how to clothify etc. I didn't want to start over. Now I've learned more and it would be easy.

Excellent cloth and material work!! Tried a few times with dynamic clothing... never very successful... suppose I should spend some more time at it. Or I could wait another few weeks and get you to teach me - heh heh
Excellent lighting too!!

Rix, you amaze me with your eye! I rendered this four times at full size (2000x2000) with different lights before I finally settled on that lighting. Actually, I would have given up on the dynamic clothing except that I owed it to *psyvampiress to try her V4 stuff after complaining to her a week ago that she hadn't done anything for V4 yet.

Its not my eye - well ok, without it I wouldn't even be able to see in the fist place - its just the areas of an image that stick out as being great, or that add to the overall effect. Nice work on your part!!

You know, looking at this, it can help me in my face shading. >.>
Anyway, it's simplistic, and the clothing comes together very nicely as well as her surroundings are nicely done.

Thank you. You may know that all of 3D art started as simple posing and shading for use by traditional artists such as yourself.

What? Dynamic clothing? *psyvampiress made it a free download... I asked Rain for advice a couple of days ago, but ended up using a tut from Rendo. (You know how Rain's explanations are... I thought I understood while she was typing me, but... It all just comes so naturally to her... she doesn't really understand how very dense I can sometimes be.
