TO BE HONEST I'm glad someone asked about that !!
It's actually because looking through the lens and the thing he's photographing being able to look back at him/emote at him/ eye contact makes him really nervous !
I suppose he's also not used to it ?

I really want them to be like...partners?? Like while the rest of the group is like "who could the killer be" these two are talking about how long the victim must have been dead for and Kida is like "can you get some pics of that head wound I might need those later" and your boy is pointing out stuff like "Kida the carpet is messed up over here" "that could be important let me see"
