Origins:

After many exploits, N'Jadaka fought against Laura Matsuda and he lost. He was impressed by her fighting style, the Matsuda Jiu Jitsu. He pledged himself to her teachings and forsake his quest for vengeance. Laura became his senpai and later his wife. They bore a son. He named him Tanso Matsuda. Upon reaching certain age, HYDRA Supreme had his father killed by Ullyses Klaw. T’Challa took Tanso into Valkanda, but not Laura, since she went to challenge the Fascist Steve Rogers. Tanso vowed to return to her. He challenged T'Challa and lost. In order to avoid his death, T'Challa renamed Tanso as Kinjiro Stevens, (son of His father's War-dog persona) During his time as Monster Hunter, he collected vibranium and monsters bones, made a small zenny fortune, saved the Jabari people from Velkhana and the whole environment from the Old Everwyrm. He was trained by M'Baku and the Commander of the Fleet on monster hunting. Trained in what he knew about the Matsuda style that his uncle Sean had taught him, and designed (with the help of the Forge Master) a Black Panther Xeno'jiiva and Carbonadium Suit, specialized for killing mutants and supers. After killing the Ruiner Nergigante, he acquired enough prestige to postulate himself as challenger on Challenge Day. He felt disappointed that it was Azari Munroe, the Black Panther instead of T'Challa. He beat Azari, but escaped, not knowing that Azari ruled Valkanda as a steward, not king.

After the final battle against Neo-HYDRA, Tanso was recalled to defend Valkanda from their hostile neighboring country, Kijuju-Niganda.
