Origins:

After the Annihilators disbandment, Erik fought against Laura Matsuda and he lost. He was impressed by her fightstyle, the Matsuda Style Jiu Jitsu. He pledged himself to her teachings and forsake his quest for vengeance. Laura became his senpai and later his wife. they bore a son. He named him Tanso. Upon reaching certain age HYDRA Supreme and Klaw killed his father. T’Challa took Tanso back into Valkanda, but not Laura. Tanso vowed to return to her. He fought T'Challa on challenge day and lost. Knowing the Ritual conbat rules, T'Challa erased Tanso from public life, Renamed him Kinjiro Stevens and exiled him into the 5th fleet on a mission to study the conducts of ancient dragons.

During his time as Monster Hunter he collected vibranium and monsters bones, made a small zenny fortune and designed (with the help of Impulse Kamen) a Black Panther carbonadium Suit, specialized for hunting mutants and supers. When he became the Sapphire Star he became aware that T'Challa was bested by his son Azari Munroe.

He escaped Valkanda and, due to a confusion, ended up drafted in C.Viper’s hero program, not knowing that after his duel with Azari he yielded and Tanso was always the Black Panther.
