Description
Both of them were young Force sensitives who survived the Second Jedi Purge, but they encountered themselves on the planet Ord Mantell.

Galen Marek was ordered by Darth Vader to find and kill a Jedi as his trial before being anointed as Vader’s apprentice. Like Vader before him, he had to slay the Jedi, take the Kyber crystal from the beaten Jedi’s lightsaber and bleed the crystal with the Dark Side of the Force.

Galen was able to sense echoes through the Force and noticed the suffering of the Jedi when her master was betrayed and killed by his Clone battalion during Order 66.

Suddenly Galen was ambushed by someone unexpected. Purge Troopers. The Purge Troopers noticed Galen’s Training Saber and yelled - He’s a Jedi!-

One of the Troopers tossed a stun grenade and this one released lightning on Galen, but when the second Purge Trooper tried to attack him with his electric Vibroblade Galen made a circular movement in which the Purge Trooper stabbed himself with his own weapon.

The First Purge Trooper tried to shoot at him, but he was paralyzed by the Force of a child apparently trained in the ways of the Force

the child said - Come with us! Quickly! -

The Purge Trooper opens a communication channel and says - 15th Sister. There's another Jedi - while Galen and the child run away.

Galen followed the child to a shack deep in the mountains. Then he saw his objective. A young woman with the traditional Jedi robes and broad pants. It was the Jedi known as F

F says to the child - Cheepo. Step away from that man.

The child listens and step away from him.

F then says to Galen - You’re not the Inquisitor that is chasing us, but clearly you are an agent of evil -
Galen responds - That’s the difference between a follower of The Force and it’s Master. We know that there’s no good or evil. Only weak or strong-
F asks - There’s good in you. Otherwise, you would’ve killed Cheepo when you met him. That’s the only reason I’m trying to reason with you.
Galen then says - The Force is like a river and with passion and effort, the Sith are able to change it’s course

F responds - You can’t change the river’s flow by casting a stone, but if you live in harmony with nature, you’ll change it together. The Breath of Life, the Force, guides me. I will do what i must -

Galen then says with a raspy voice - You will try….Jedi -

F readies her yellow lightsaber as Galen holds his Practice Saber with a reversed grip, ready to attack. F’s mechanical shoes adapt in an instant for a fast step technique.

Both opponents rushed at each other. After the clash Galen and F were behind one another.

Galen received a cut in the arm, but he managed to disarm F. Galen reclaims the lightsaber and then raises F with the Force as he chokes her. Then he says - Your feeble skills are no match for the power of the Dark Side. It’s over, you Jedi scum! -

Suddenly, Cheepo used the Force to pull the lightsaber from his hands

Cheepo says - You leave her alone! -

Galen had a flashback of how he did the same in an effort to help his father Kento Marek from Vader.

He releases F and she fell to the floor. He pulled back F’s lightsaber from Cheepo’s hands

Galen says - Relax, child. I only need evidence of a fight against the Jedi in order to please my master. I’m not going to kill you

Out from the shadows appeared one 15th Sister, a female Arkenian and tried to attack F, but Galen stops her with F’s lightsaber.

15th Sister says - You’d make a fine Inquisitor. Why do you defend those Jedi? -
Galen responds - Because i know what’s like growing up without a father!

Galen and the Inquisitor engaged in a lightsaber duel and both seemed almost equal in physical skills, but suddenly Galen uses Force Lightning to subdue her

Galen said - You tried to steal my pray, taking the easy path. Now pay the price for your lack of vision! -

F stops the killing stroke with the Force

F yells - Wait! She’s beaten. Let her go -
Galen says - She’ll be a problem for both of us if she returns to either my master or the Emperor -
F asks - Is Darth Vader your master? -
Galen responds - Yes. -
15th Sister then asks - How’s this possible? How could you be his apprentice without being an inquisitor? (gasps) You plan to kill the Emperor!! -

F then used a Jedi secret technique on the Arkanian Inquisitor girl - You have no recollection of ever being an inquisitor -
the inquisitor says, affected by the technique - I have no recollection of ever being an inquisitor-
F says - Now, sleep -

15th Inquisitor fell unconscious

Galen says - You erased her memories? That trick won’t work on me, Jedi -
F says - Unlike this Inquisitor, you have a strong mind. She’ll be a Jedi again… Or are you still going to kill us? -
Galen responds - No. My only interests is a Kyber crystal and a proof of your defeat -

F does something unexpected. She grabs her lightsaber and cuts off her own hand

F says - (groans) Ugh! That hurt!. Vader thinks he's turned you, but our encounter was the Force’s will. While your future is in motion, your path will lead to the Emperor’s demise.
Galen says - Then i will fulfill my destiny-

Galen takes F’s severed hand and the Kyber Crystal of the defeated Inquisitor, destroying her lightsaber. Galen returns F’s lightsaber back at her.

F says - I thank you for sparing us. Despite what you think you're a friend of the Jedi Order. May the Force be with you.

Galen responds - Thank Cheepo, not me. Hope we never see each other again, because I’ll kill you if that happens. May the Force serve you well.

Rotations later on Vader’s flagship….

Galen kneels before his master as he presented F’s severed hand to him and his new lightsaber made with the Kyber Crystal of the Inquisitor

Vader knighted him in a similar way a Jedi knights does, passing his lightsaber on each of his shoulders

Vader says - You were weak when i find you, but now your hatred has become your strength. At last the Dark Side is your ally. Rise, my apprentice.

Galen asks - What is your will, my master?

Galen’s journey was only just beginning and his exploits would bring a new hope to the galaxy.
