"Devi!!! Hey, Devi!!!"

Betamon called from a dreary cave entrance. From within the cave a once sleeping Devidramon awoke with a surly yawn.

"Augh, Betamon, what is it? It's still morning, you know...," he observed, squinting at the cave entrance. Betamon scrambled inside as fast as his stubby little claws would allow him and flopped up and down to resemble jumping in excitement.

"Guess what I can do?!" he squealed, "Guess, guess, guess!"

Devidramon reluctantly raised his head, and said "What?" in that sulky sort of tone you get when someone is thoroughly annoyed.

Betamon's reddish orange eyes glowed in the dim light while he performed a new trick. It looked like he was going to attack with bubbles for a moment, but instead of blasting it out, he held it in, and his light body began to fill up with air.

Devidramon flexed his wings, tired, yet trying to be interested for the sake of his tiny friend.

Soon, without flaw, Betamon began to float up in the air, every now and then hiccuping and releasing a few bubbles. He tried to speak to Devidramon, but found himself inaudible.

"Well-hell, what do you know...," Devidramon exclaimed calmly, raising a claw and gently bumping Betamon around in mid-air, "You can fly, little feller. You can fly, just like me."

Haha, I'm soooo going to raise a Devidramon on my DS. I've already raised a Betamon, but now he's some sort of Gesomon squid thing. Poor me, I thought he could digivolve to Seadramon, but apparently you can't in the game. XD

Don't ask me where the idea came from, but ever since I came up with this, I've begun to like this pair.
