Description Woe is the one who falls under the accusation of rape in a father's eye.

You may want to up the brightness for this picture--my photoshop computer is ridiculously bright. This was originally planned to be something totally different, you don't even know. Then it escalated, pulling inspirations from such things as the actual history of the creature 'incubus' and what's-his-face's A Time to Kill.

Really I don't know why they chose to name the final boss "Incubus." They would've been better off with what it looks like--Baphomet. When I first saw the boss I was like "BAPHOMET! 8D" Soon after I learned that it was named Incubus instead, to which my reaction was "Oh, okay...
wait, WHAT?"

An incubus is the male counterpart of a succubus. Which is why Incubus is frightening to me. Boobs...? D: Does this warrant an MC? I'm keeping it off but if it does don't worry I'll be football tackled. <3

Mmmm this was fun to draw aside from Kaufmann. After the second time I drew him I didn't want to draw him anymore. In one panel he came out looking like the lovechild of Jim from Code Lyoko, Douglas Cartland, and Ganondorf. He's mostly there because, well, he WAS there, and because I needed someone to blabble out what an Incubus was. He was shortly involved with that freaking cult, it works.

The comic quality of this is of course downgraded, for a few facts that when it was drawn I didn't think it would go this far, but even so I didn't really change much except for the type. Things could be centered more, the guns could've actually been drawn, and the overall organization could be tweaked. But I really had fun with this and THAT'S WHAT COUNTS.

Harry Mason, Michael Kaufmann, Incubus, Dahlia, Alessa (c) Konami
Music: Mostly bunches of classical music. (Respighi makes me cry like a baby) I often found my tablet pen way across the room because classical music has that talent to go from pianissimo to TRIPLE FORTE in a matter of nanoseconds. I even landed it in the garbage once. I'm surprised it survived.

It was in that moment Incubus knew it fucked up; it messed with a father.

xD To be perfectly honest it started out as a humorous comic. I don't know what happened after that.

KILL IT HARRY! FU(KING END THAT THING!

I know that this is supposed to be a bit more comical about the identity of the 'god', but I'm so sympathetic to Cheryl/Alessa's plight and I see more of my own late father in Harry then what would be considered 'normal'. And because of that I hate the 'Order' and all it's demonic spawn with a vengeance; I'd actually seek things out in the darkness. I also see a father's devotion to his daughter like Harry's exactly like my own dad's for me.

I'd shoot anything that even considered touching MY children too.

xD Well, it actually started out as something that was supposed to be comedic, but as I sketched it out it turned into something not comedic, and though it pretty much lost most of its humor I didn't mind at all and I like it the way it came out, if only I had worked a bit more quality into it, because at the time I wasn't expecting something like this to happen.

:3 Thanks very much so for the comment, I appreciate it a lot.

HEY UM FIRST OF ALL THIS COMIC IS AWESOME, and totally in-character for Harry in my opinion.

I believe they called the monster 'Incubus' because the version of it that's just floaty-zappy-Alessa is called the 'Incubator', in that she pregnant with (and therefore incubating) the Incubus.
Kind odd wording, but I guess 'Incubus' sounds better than 'Incubated'.

IN ANY CASE. This is awesome!

That is a good way (actually really good way) to look at it, but it still gives me willies. XD; Also answers why flowy glowy woman is called Incubator (I had a slight idea but my brain not work for days)

XD Honestly it was all done on a whim, and never intended to be this 'finished.' But inspirations splurges will do that to ya, I guess. o_o; THANKS SO MUCH <3

XD Oh yeah, it's still creepy as hell... and may in fact have to do with the fact that... well. The baby had to get in there SOMEHOW. 8( Alessa's backstory is pretty damn horrific no matter WHAT way you look at it.

I think it's really, really neat, and a cool concept of how the scene could have gone. XD I know how that feels-- I have buttloads of SH art (it's kind of been dominating my mind lately, lawl. Stress-relief I guess) just sitting around on Photobucket that I'm too lazy to put up on DA... but it insists on being drawn!

IN ANY CASE-- COOL COMIC, BRO!

:C but it has fire. I THOUGHT THE AMOUNT OF FIRE MADE THINGS COOLER. LIKE...THE MORE FIRE/EXPLOSIONS THE COOLER IT IS. So Alessa's background is like...cool. I guess. Somehow. Yelch.

My mind has been plagued with the same thing similarly. XD;; Give me your photobuckets, so I can like...print the pictures out and...put them under my pillow. D< or something. SOMETHING.

NO WAY BRO!! THERE'S TOO MUCH SCIENCE IN KAUFMANN'S FACE.

SORRY MAN, FIRE MAKES LOTS OF PROMISES OF COOLNESS AND EXPLOSIONS, BUT REALLY IT JUST BRINGS DEATH AND BURNING.

Ahaha oh man, most of it is just either crack, or absurd concept art that won't make sense to anyone but me for the fanfiction that I'm going to be writing for NaNo. And then there's random original stuff that pops up on the pages here and there. But you're free to poke through it if you want!

Crouching-Tora In reply to SailorSun546 [2009-10-07 13:14:01 +0000 UTC]

Well it's complicated, he's not sure who his daughter is. This crazy old lady told him this one girl dressed in blue was his daughter, and she certainly looked like it but the crazy old lady told him his daughter Cheryl is actually Alessa, but also the real Alessa is that corpse of a body in that wheel chair as well and BAM suddenly they are one and the same into this thing called the Incubator (what Incubus popped out of in the first panel) Harry's quite confused because it's all like wtf is going on. (You're confused too)

You fight Incubus in the Good endings. In the Bad endings you fight Incubator, this glowy flowy Alessa thing that resembles an angel minus the wings and good-heartedness. At the end of the battle you hear Cheryl's voice going "Daddy...Thank you Daddy, good-bye" to which Harry goes hysterical to. Very hysterical to, I should say, and for good reason.

In the end, no matter what ending, he doesn't get his Cheryl back. In the good endings you receive a baby from Alessa as she points you the way out--this is your 'new' Cheryl--same person, but rebirthed in a way. He never sees that seven-year-old again, the way she was when they entered Silent Hill.

This wasn't supposed to be funny, was it?

Because I think my sick sense of humor is acting up again. I found it funny. In a rather WTF? way.

Have to agree with you on the Incubus thing. That's just weird.

Crouching-Tora In reply to AndreaHarper [2009-10-04 12:46:26 +0000 UTC]

Well, believe it or not, it started out as an LOL thing, but then escalated to something more serious and lost most of its humor.

I'm glad you sniffed it out though. XD

AndreaHarper In reply to Crouching-Tora [2009-10-04 17:44:09 +0000 UTC]

Really?

Cool.

I thought it was just the fact that I'm reading Dracula as a melodrama.

It makes everything else slightly creepy rather funny.

True, true.

If you ever do read Dracula, read Lucy Westenra as melodramatic and a ditz. Funniest thing ever.
