Description
Terry the Toolbox Engine is a unique sort of engine, never seen before by steam or man. Built long ago, Terry used to be a normal tank engine, constructed from a class long since forgotten. Over the years many modifications had been to suit the needs of his various owners, including a larger bunker constructed from a truck body, and a new cab made from the body of a van. Nowadays, Terry works as a contractor's locomotive (a engine made to work on construction sites and maintenance work) on the Mainland. He's basically a mobile works van that contains tools, a generator, and a winch that can be mounted to his bunker.

Terry's personality reflects his ability to be a versatile engine on the railway. He'll try his hardest to work out any problem that crosses him, whether the solution works out in the end or ends up making things worse. He assesses any situation with clear thoughts and is very clever, and gets out of most jams he finds himself in. His personality also reflects very similar to that of Thomas. He can be cheeky at times, but means well and will stop his tomfoolery short if work is to be done.

If Terry were to meet Thomas, he'd probably be quite intrigued by his design, as he'd probably never seen such a design as Thomas in a very long time. Same can be said for Sodor, as the railway is full of unique engines and places. Terry would take the time to meet every engine he could and discover what's unique to their build and etc, seeing as he lived on the Mainland where mostly diesels of the same class lived.
