Thank you! I was trying to capture Philip Quast's expression but I kept failing it when I actually watch his footage and sketch at the same time. But for this time, I was watching his movie of Javert's suicide and then 10 minutes later started to draw without seeing it, and voila, it came out fine...with my criteria. So I am happy with this drawing.

I love that moment when Philip takes his hair partially down. Javert is such a neat and tidy "no wrinkles in his uniform or in his duty" kind of guy that it just shows how distraught he is at this point really well. Poor guy. I want to give him a hug right now...

I totally agree with you! The partial hair coming down from his head describes a lot about his confusion, and makes him look sooo sad---. Actually I always feel Javert's solitude and sorrow from Philip Quast and that is why I love him most for the actor of Javert.
