Rihan is a person that seems friendly enough with a cheerful disposition. But looking closely, it’s obvious that the tanuki isn’t all quite honest when it comes to his emotions. He does his best to help others, especially those suffering from money problems or need assistance in their homes or jobs. He rarely asks to be paid for his services, and unlike his great grandfather, the original Danzaburou-danuki, the money he lends are from his own personal fortune. Yet he has no fear of using it up, as he extends his money through gambling and charging interest to those he knows are unfair.

Despite having no memories of his homeland, family, or others of his kind, Rihan views his yokai heritage in high regard, and often contemplates what he would become if his powers were ever restore to him. This isn’t in any power hungry regard, but a simple curiosity and a desire to reconnect with the people he had been taken away from. Perhaps this is the reason for his over protectiveness of certain areas of the country, particularly the slums. While Rihan is no lord or even leader of any faction, he makes it a point to get involve in events and happenings that threaten other’s livelihood. What they had was all they got, why loose it all in a foolish struggle?

Other than this serious disposition, Rihan does have a lighter side, loving pranks and jokes, even if he is the butt of them. He also adores children, and will sometimes give rides to the kids. Children, he believes, are the pinnacle of innocence and should always be protected. However, that doesn’t mean they should be robbed of their fun either, so he doesn’t mind being their play mate.

History:

He is the youngest great grandson of the Danzaburou-danuki, taken away from his homeland during an internal strife between clans. Rihan doesn’t remember much of his homeland, but he does remember the old man that was his great grandfather and the yokai that he was, basing much of his own actions on the legend of his great grandfather.

Extra Information:

    -          The mask he wears is one that he commissioned in the likeliness of his great grandfather. This is the reason why it is white, not brown, for he remembers his great grandfather having aged silver fur.

    -          He was brought over to the country when he was still a pup, and left with associates that were indebted to his great grandfather. Thus, what he knows are from the stories they’ve told him.

    -          His tail is a famous nap site for children, making him a sought after babysitter.

    -          Smokes a pipe regularly.

    -          Loves to torment his foes during gambling by pretending to be losing and grab the winnings in a last ditch effort.
