Dug this up and finished it today... Little bit of vent art, but really, I just take any excuse I get to draw snow.May change a few details later... Can't see the mistakes yet. c:

very beautiful, it is not easy to make decent shading and colour scheme when all colours are supposed to be white
you intended that the traces belong to a second animal that went away while the other slept? but at first look i saw something else: an animal that has lied down into the snow to die , has given up.
reminds me of a sad story that happened here. a dog attacked a cat while on a walk, the cat was badly injured and i tried to catch the cat to bring her to a vet. sadly,despite of her injuries, she was gone too fast and i could not find her. at night, there was a snow storm. the next day, i found the cat. there were traces in the snow that suddenly stopped in the middle of a field.under a fine layer of snow, there was the cat, dead
well. thatΒ΄s what comes to mind when i look at this pic.

D'aww, thank you! <3 All-white color schemes are addicting to me... have to stop myself from making too many of them, haha.
I drew it with the intention of another wolf leaving while the first slept but I like to leave them open for interpretation. And wow, I never thought about it like that... that has a much heavier feel to it than even I intended. And ack, that's absolutely heartbreaking.

Nah, it was just a reeeaaally frustrating/stressful/sad week and I was at the end of my rope by Friday... But actually, the weekend helped a lot, so I'm good now.
