not one 100% sure what the difference is but i think i like both? its all up to the design mostly anyways c:

Well, the main difference is that super robots are the unrealistic ones, while sci-fi robots are the realistic ones, as examples look at Mazinger Z, Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, and Getter Robot for the super robots, and look at basically the Gundam franchise (alltho there are outside Gundam) for the sci-fi robots.

aaaaaah okay then i prefer the super robots! feel like one has more freedom with those as you dont have to think about functionality xD

Yeah! But I think what I like the most about them is the japanese superhero feel they got going for, like naming attacks, the posing, the shouting, and the fusion between sci-fi and fantasy some of them have.
