Hey guys how's it going.

The title says it all, it's a scene redraw of Leonardo from 2012 reboot of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Specifically, this is based on the scene from the 2 part final episode of season 2, titled The Invasion. I saw it three days ago, at the time of this upload, and to this day, it's still my favourite season finale of the show.

The reasons are that it had emotion, everything falls apart, the kraang mutated most of new york city, the turtles lose their lair, the Shredder defeats both Leonardo and Splinter, Urma surprise reveal to be Kraang Sub-Prime (who was voiced by Gilbert Gottfried), and finally, our heroes leaving new york, which was a nice callback to the 1990 Ninja Turtles movie. It was honestly very sad.

In many ways, the Invasion has parallels of what we're going through in 2020, with the coronavirus invading most of earth, and America falling apart. It's honestly very interesting, but also very sad.

Anyway, the scene I redrew from that episode, was when Leo was fighting against the foot clan, all by himself. He then gets his shell beaten until he finally breaks loose and unleashes all of his fury. It was so badass, seeing Leonardo kicking ass, and letting out all of his fury. Unfortunately, as mentioned earlier, the Shredder managed to knock out Leonardo, putting him in a coma.

This piece was inspired by the Sailor Moon redraw challenge from May of this year, I figured it was cool to see a lot of artists take their hand on redrawing that Sailor Moon scene in their style. However, I never watched Sailor Moon fan, so i wanted to do my own challenge.

This piece was a ton of fun to make, as I never really drawn something this intense before in a while. I also decided that it would be very cool to add the scars and blood, as if it were an intense anime scene, akin to Naruto, and Fullmetal Alchemist.

It ain't perfect, but I honestly love this piece.

It's worth mentioning that midway through the 2nd season, Leo's voice actor actually changed. This was because Jason Biggs, Leo's previous voice actor, was in a lot of heat with Nickelodeon about some tweets, and long story short, He ended up getting fired. What's funny is that I didn't notice it when I was younger, yet I just noticed it until now, all those years later.

Of course, we all know that there is one man who eventually took on the mantle of Leonardo season 3 onwards, and that's of course Seth Green, the creator of Robot Chicken, and the voice of Chris Griffin from Family guy. I'll get into my opinions on Seth Green's portrayal later on in the future.
