I also wanted to title this "Oh the things I am paid to draw..."ANYWAY this is a very special commission for my dearest friend, who is going to have surgery on Tuesday to have a tumor/cyst removed from one of her ovaries.
A Dermoid cyst.
"A dermoid cyst is a saclike growth that is present at birth. It contains structures such as hair, fluid, teeth, or skin glands that can be found on or in the skin. "
So this is her cyst, clinging to her ovary. Or as we like to call it, her "soon to be aborted alien baby."
...her mother asked me to do this. I'm not demented on my own, you see. I TOOK THE OPPORTUNITY TO EXPERIMENT WITH COLOR ALSO.

Oh lawdy. I learned what a dermoid cyst was whilst reading my Biomedical Terminology textbook. Unfortunately, there was a picture. LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, REAL ONES ARE NOWHERE NEAR AS CUTE AS THIS THING. Don't google it. Don't do it. I SAID DON'T DO IT.
FUN FACT: dermoid cysts are teratomas which in Greek means "monstrous tumor".
