OKAY YEAH TOTALLY RANDOM. I do this at school when talking to friends, and friends are crazy and can mess up pictures.First off, this started out as a totally different picture of Barbossa and Jack talking about different things... I had Barbossa done, and Jack was half sketched out when my friend and I started talking about anime and mary sues and generic drawing and blah dee blah...
I ended up sketching that nasty looking piece of krud while we were talking... we had a laugh about it and then I realized that I'd ruined my earlier drawing.
Too lazy to do anything about it, I just gussied her up and added word bubbles to make it fit. The end.
Oh, and the ice cream cone is ~miyuist 's fault. She made me. So that's not my fault at all.

Oh gosh...xD This is hilarious! I'm not lying when I say this; I've seen at least three daughters of Jack that were named "Ebony Rose Darkness Raven" or something, and they all looking gothic and morphed into wolves!
And the Mary Sues that are all over Barbossa...xD Geez!

It burns the sheer retarded ness of that mary sue it killing me....but I gotta hand it to you this is a very good representation of a few sues that i've seen, they are completely devoid of true personality, and are so riddiculus that it makes me wonder why no one hasn't already shot them.

mm, my femme pirate OC dresses like a man ._. so ya know, lol. only a couple of people know shes a girl. cant really remember her story but oh well. it wasnt half bad XD. and i think sues mostly crop up in younger people, or people who are really insecure (a lot of creators of sues i have seen really arent all that >0;; ). i admit, i have one shameless self insert, however...she isnt a sue. her flaws are valid, as much as her talents plausible.
btw, jack's "oh poo" is priceless X3 and your art is fantastic! the sue at the side makes me laff.

Grr... sue's are annoying. I have two main fandom oc's, one's star wars, and one's potc. But as far as I can tell they're not sues, but you sometimes get pretty good characters with a few sue traits.

Since I am a Mary-sue maker I apologize for all that my friends have wronged. I have seen the...agression that has been toward our kind and I have never posted a fanfic with a Mary-sue in it...but i've drawn art.

Thanks for the comment on the sues, cuz it's so true, which is why I do pieces like these.
And as for the anime bit, Um, no thank you. I'm not dissing anime or anything, because it's the style I started with (I grew up in Japan and everything), but I'm happy in knowing I developed my own style already. I'll do anime when I feel it's vital to a piece, whenever that'll happen.

A mary sue is a character (usually a fan character or oc, though there have been instances when they appear as actual canon characters) who are portrayed as perfect or overly intelligent or overly tough (sometimes all three at the same time) and are oftentimes set as love interests for the main characters. It's like, when you read fanfiction, and there's a pirate girl who's smart and beautiful and extra piratey, who Jack Sparrow falls in love with, then you got it. It's usually a whole bunch of stupid stuff made by girls (or guys) trying to live out their fantasies with badly put together, totally personality-less trash...
Though, there have been some good OCs, the majority of them just suck monkey butt.

Dewd! I totally hate it when people create characters for things like this, and they make them wear things that don't even go with the times...I HATE IT! And they pair them with people, that would totally not be anyones "GF" with THAT personality.
It makes me angry sometimes...
Barbossa would never even look at something like that...well, maybe he would. But that's because he's a pirate and just because he would "do" her, doesn't mean that he loves her in any way, what-so-ever.
Sorry for the really really poor sentence structurings...I be just off from works...and am tired.

It's alright, and believe me, I totally agree with you. It's what prompted the words in the picture, because that's actually what I was thinking. It irritates the fack out of me, believe me, and there's a total lack of ability to make characters nowadays, something i find REALLY sad. Oh well. People are people and they do what they do and they like what they like. Can't stop them from doing it. All we can do is complain.
