saw this photo on the net, liked the face and layers of background put afew days into it. portraits aint really my thing but am pretty happy with how this turned out.A4, mech pencil .5 HB, B, 2B, woodern pencil H, 2B, 4B, 8B, tortillons, eraser, tissue paper. around 20hrs.

Cool! I like the composition with the great contrast on the face to pull it out of the background. You have a beautiful range of values here. It's a sterling piece of work!

just quietly, theres always been something off with the portraits ive drawn so i throw a backgroud down as abit of distraction. Dude, if i could make a portrait like the ones in your gallery i wouldnt worry about a background
