A little health info on grim dogs

Common signs of illness:
Yellowing-a yellowing of the face which is Often a sign that the body is fighting of an illness. This is often accompanied by a fever.
Fatigue: grim dogs are normally very energetic species so long term fatigue is usually not a good sign
Hyperventilating: grim dogs can overheat easily over heat so this is important to look out for
nausia, vomiting, or light headedness: this is a given for a lot of illnesses

Illnesses: Common-fever,flu-often identified by yellowing, vomiting, fatigue, and high body temperature. Veterinary assistance is recommended but not necessary
Ooze- usually caused by an infection, ooze is a very serious illness which can cause staph infection and fill the lungs and heart with a thick black liquid if not treated as soon as possible. Early signs are wheezing, fatigue, high blood pressure, headaches, and a thick black liquid oozing from the mouth. If symptoms are shown, seek veterinary treatment immediately. (More illnesses will be added later)
V-Pox-Purple boils form around the body. This symptoms vary from grim to grim. Some symptoms may include yellowing, pain, itchiness, nausea, vomiting, twitching, restlessness, ect.
heatstroke- grims are very sensitive to heat and an easily overheat is left outside in the summer for too long.

Disabilities:
Blindness-often caused by prolonged exposure to bright sunlight over a period of time. Often seen in older grims
Tilt- a decreased ability to hold themselves up with their front paws causing their bodies to tilt foreword. This is often found in aging grims but can also be caused by birth defects
Arthritis- pretty self explanatory. Found in older grims
Kinked tail: caused from birth defects. Kinked tail is a deformity that causes an abnormal bend or twist in a grims tail. This more than often leads to decreased tail strength or inability to use it for balance

****baby grims are ussually refered to as grim puppies and always have floppy ears and dull, rounded off teeth until their first year(otherwise we would have a lot less puppies)

FYI- Much like my other species, ehntis, I originally posted these on facebook and they took off so I ended up making a ton of bases for these which I will be posting soon. So look out for those!!
