About a year ago, I tuned this one out.It's still one of my favorite pictures I've done. It's all traditional media; pencilwork, inks in Micron, then colored with Prismacolors. They've washed some over time, and I haven't exactly been kind to the original linework, but that's what copy places are for.

The character design and coloring and style are all excellent. The style reminds me a little of Tales of Symphonia, for some reason.

i like the devilslayer. its not often that you find brown skin characters in anything because they dont seem to catch the eyes or attention from their pale counterparts but its a plunge many that of us should take. and its something worth fighting for.

Props to you for using an unconventional angle. It turned out fabulous. Contessa and Tara are my particular favorites.

I haven't seen a picture of Tara in a while, but don't think I've ever seen one of the DevilSlayer. I really like her design a lot.

I REALLY have to draw her more often. It's honestly one of MY favorite self-made designs too--though I'm very tempted to try out a more tribalistic look for her.
The quasi-Japanese costume design was more to address her character--somewhat like a free-roaming, philosophical type--and who better to rip off than samurais?
