Description Here's another one I've been wanting to do for a while.

People who watch Star vs the forces of evil will back me up when I say that Toffee is great villain material. The show follows the same trend as Gravity Falls did byΒ starting with a pretty unimpressive villain at the beginning of the show and then introducing a much more competent villain later on. And much like Bill Cipher, Toffee is the real evil mastermind, staying in the background, calculating every move. Great stuff. The stuff Adepts are made of.

And so Toffee joins the Adepts of Evil's Militia, as the Strategist. (I need to update my big roster some day. A lot of things have changed.)

Though I gotta say, if there's one thing about Toffee I think could've been better it's his design. Not the idea, I think the lizard-man monster in a suit is a great concept, it's just that the show's art style doesn't do him enough justice. Sometimes he just looks kinda weird. So while I usually try to stick pretty close to the style of the original, here, I made an exception. Tell me what you think.

How about any villains from crash bandicoot, sly cooper, or any Mario villains to fit the spot of Toffee's acolytes?

I've never played any of the Bandicoot or Cooper games, so I don't know any of their villains. And Dry Bowser is already an acolyte to Skullmageddon. Right now I think I'll keep Toffee's acolytes limited to the Delightful Children, since they're technically five people in one, which already is a lot acolyte-wise.

Okay that makes sense, also what about any characters from the Sonic series in both your villain and hero rosters of your story?

Sonic is part of the Heartguards. Eggman' witth the Adepts, though I'm not sure wether I wanna make him an Adept or an acolyte to Doofenschmirtz.

I guess it depends on how affective Eggman is to the adepts.

Hm... not at the moment. Definitely the more-brain-than-brawn kind of villains... I haven't really given it much thought.

Oh I'm always willing to hear suggestions. But I never guarantee I'll take them. You know my rule: I only use characters I know so I can do them justice. But it's very possible there's characters I do know but just can't think of at the moment, so I'm always open for suggestions.

How about The Delightful Children from Down the lane from Codename: Kids Next Door as his acolytes?, they are more calcultive although they sometimes use mechs to attack the knd.

That... is actually a pretty damn good suggestion... I can't believe I didn't think of them.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Crydius In reply to lightyearpig [2017-03-02 19:58:05 +0000 UTC]

Well, both of them are kinda dead... ^^'
Remember, my universe follows the KH storyline up until the end of KH II, so that includes BBS. And frankly I don't like using DBZ characters. The OP factor is just too high. I doubt Cell would take orders from Toffee. Or anyone for that matter.

Crydius In reply to lightyearpig [2017-03-03 10:08:37 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, I considered him as well, with the whole strategy thing going on, but I've already got Killer Frost, and Scarecrow is one of Double's acolytes. He's still a good option though.

The sketching mother effer looks a lot like Loki from The Avengers movie. Seriously the entire internet is asking what does guys up to. He's actually competent and he scares me. Really how much more do I have to say? Guy pulls off The Mastermind trope like a genius.

MercenaryX In reply to Crydius [2016-12-31 10:37:20 +0000 UTC]

But I have to admit that the Disney's design is a little bit better. If only because it makes me think more Loki from The Avengers. Seriously he's got the slimy smarmy look down packed from the show.

It's a pretty entertaining show, I hope you like it. ^^
My advice : at the very least watch the first episode. It gives a pretty good idea of what the show's gonna be like. If you like the first one, you'll like the rest. If not, then it's not your cup of tea. Simple as that.

I've seen the first episode and the Mooperty episode. I do like the humour of the show for sure. The art style is not one I am fond of but I enjoy it more than most. Hopefully when things are not so busy, I will search out more episodes.

Dang, I knew you had your eye on Toffee, but I was not expecting him to be an addition to the Adepts themselves. Quick question: I noticed that the Militia Adepts seem to be organized in a hierarchy of ranks; where does Toffee's role place him in that system?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Crydius In reply to Mnlws [2016-12-21 12:29:32 +0000 UTC]

Currently it puts him rightΒ above Soundwave, the Intelligence Officer. New intel gathered by Soundwave goes to Toffee who devises a strategy and then passes that on to the High Command : Grievous, Marvin and Ridley. But I'm planning on updating the roster and reworking the system somewhere in the future, as there's been a few changes and new additions. The hierarchy will be much clearer then.

Crydius In reply to tigreanpony [2016-12-19 13:40:23 +0000 UTC]

The show's art style is very light-hearted and cartoony. So it works well for the main characters and the initial comedic villains. But it doesn't really do the real villains justice, which is a shame, cause Toffee has a very intimidating personality.

I agree he's dangerous, but Ludo has been making progress. Β Still the great thing about Toffee is the mystery behind him. Β Also the history of Muni itself is coming along. Β I think you did a good job here, especially the expression on his face.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Crydius In reply to Skytower [2016-12-19 13:37:30 +0000 UTC]

Well, let's not forget that Ludo's development is most likely influenced by Toffee. The skeleton hand that makes up his wand could be Toffee's, since the middle finger's missing, and in 'Is mystery" we've seen that the wand talks to him. So while Ludo's definitely becoming more threatening it's heavily implied that Toffee's behind the whole thing.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Skytower In reply to Crydius [2016-12-19 16:02:37 +0000 UTC]

Ludo is still too blinded by his own ego to see that. Β Now that he has the book though...

Mnlws In reply to Skytower [2016-12-20 22:33:06 +0000 UTC]

Not many shows can pull of the incompetent villain not only being usurped, but also becoming competent.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Skytower In reply to Mnlws [2016-12-21 21:49:20 +0000 UTC]

For the first few seasons at least it's good to have an entry level villain like Ludo. Β As she gets older (if they let her get older) she can move onto more competent villains.

CouldveBeenKing [2016-12-19 01:01:43 +0000 UTC]

Huh, he is one of the few things I have seen from the show, in terms of clips of it - have yet to actually watch an episode. He does seem to be quite the villain, and your version of him looks wonderful my friend.

Crydius In reply to CouldveBeenKing [2016-12-19 13:31:14 +0000 UTC]

I recommend the show. It's very entertaining. The only thing that kind of holds it back is that, while the pilot is great, the first season's a little slow on the start. It only really gets going halfway through. Season 2's been great so far.Β

Welp, everything is on hiatus, so you might as well look for more stuff to watch.
