She isn't that big. When you look at the loading screen when Chell's standing in front of her, GLaDOS's head's about the size of her body minus her arms and legs. Her head's probably only slightly bigger than Wheatley.

The cut scene where she holds both Wheatley and Chell makes her look so big, though. I should see if I can extract the models and do a size comparison. That might be interesting.

maybe the loading screen makes her smaller?...or doesnt show her whole (torso?)...but how does she drop out the spheres anyway...if they are that big compared to her...shed have to be pretty big to be able to contain them

Wow, that's amazing. It really captures how mind bogglingly huge GLaDOS is compared to Chell. Even in the game it doesn't seem that bad, but this makes GLaDOS look like a robot you don't want to mess with.
