More scenes described from the book. The martian on Primrose hill is the first Fighting Machine the writer encounters that has died of bacteria.The chapter: "In the Storm"
gives the reader the first glimpse of the Martians machines striding over the hills in a blistering lighting storm. However, the protagonist doesnt make any connections betweent the Martians landed in Horsell common and the Tripods until the Artillaryman explains to him that they rose out of the pit in walking engines.

It's not from any comic. These are my own drawings. The Fighting machines are of my design. And the Martians are as simple yet as accurate as I could make them seem.
