My interpretation of Rook:

In a world where Ben Tennyson, wielder of the Omnitrix, mysteriously vanishes without a trace, chaos descends upon earth. With Ben’s absence, most of the plumbers have been killed off tragically. Rook spends his days searching the galaxy. While the world believes Ben 10 is gone, Rook still believes he’s out there somewhere.

He also upgraded his proto-tool with Kevin’s help.
