================

Ever since I was a kid my dreams have been filled with wolves, I'm not exactly sure their meaning, but to me I've always felt a strong connection with them.

Thanks for viewing, and comments are always appreciated.

looks good trek.. I really like how you used the blues in it.. you should add this to your tarot deck.. it would make a great hermit

Sounds great I figured painting all the pieces would be a great learning experience! I just gotta be careful using stock as references now like I did in this one!

Yep, I do my work on such a huge monitor that I don't bother judging an image by the preview lol! Thanks so much and I'm glad you liked it!

In shamanism we have power animals for guides; Farley Mowat notwithstanding, this is probably yours. (Mine is a horse)

Yes, I do believe the wolf guide's me in my dreams, and does hold a big part in my life. Thanks so much for the and comment! I'm glad you liked this one as well since it is an important one to me!

I'm probably telling you something that you already know, but for like 20+ years, Michael Harner's THE WAY OF THE SHAMAN is THE book on the subject. Harner has gone on to do workshops (at astronomical fees) and markets CDs of shamanistic drumming (ditto), but he was and is the original; every time I lend the book out I never get it back, and wind up getting yet another copy....I think I'm on my 7th one!

I've read some very good fantasy novels with animal familiars and shaman's. I have never read that book but will definatley keep an eye out for it at the used book stores! Thanks so much for sharing the the author and title, can't wait to keep a look out for it!

Harner was online a month ago. Don't recall the URL but it had like his tour sched, books, CDs and usual stuff like that.
His book had a serendipitous timing in my life in the early '80's. He'd published an earlier more scholarly work from Oxford University Press, HALLUCINOGENS AND SHAMANISM; other authors in the book included Claudio Naranjo. As I was getting heavily into the hallucinogens again at that point, I was extremely curious about shamanism. About two weeks after I'd idly expressed a wish that there be a book about it, guess what appeared at my local bookseller!
Of course, I wasn't familiar with manifestation concepts at the time; should have been, but ahh....! Still, people have always commented on how it is that I always seem to get what I need when I have no means of getting it; Old Sparky is one example in particular.

LOL It's odd how things work unexpectedly pop up when you need them! I've had lots of interesting things like that happen for me as well! I just hope something like a job with decent pay shows up for me at some point soon! I didn't spend all that money and time to work some lame helpdesk job let alone be unemployed! I can't wait to check that book out!
