Description
I've been getting asked a lot on how to wash a Fluffle Puff plush other than spot cleaning it as I have suggested. So I decided to do a little experiment. Sadly my husband obviously hasn't been listening every time I've ranted about effects of high heat on fake fur.Β Let this be a warning to all.Related content

*chokes on her drink in laughter* I've seen that happen to SO many plushies and fursuit of people that don't know better about fake fur, but that is by far the most hilarious result of dryer-drying I've seen to date!

Looks like the giant troll plush of mine my mom washed and dried years ago. Β We still joke about that troll.Β
But, on the bright side, she's very cute all sheep like. Β
As for washing plushies, I've had good luck de-stuffing them first, then washing on gentle cycle, with the stuffing in a pillow case. Β I then line dry the whole operation, spreading the stuffing out on a sweater drying rack, the Florida heat is pretty good for that. Β I've also washed American Girl doll bodies, sans head, like that; though with such a small amount of fluff, I usually just replace the stuffing as if I'm washing a doll to repair/restore it the stuffing stinks. But, on a plushie, one shouldn't start seam ripping with the knowledge of how to reset up the hole.Β
All that said, my Fluffle Puff just prefers to stay clean. Β

Typically the best thing I've discovered is just not to get them dirty in the first place, which usually works out great! Otherwise I use rubbingΒ alcohol.

If you want a sheep plush then OK! Put that sucker in the dryer. (I did that once with a lion plush and he got a perm)

...She actually looks super cute all sheep-like, it's as if she's trying to ninja about with the sheeps.Β
Still though, yeah... Also I've heard suggestions of putting the plush inside a pillow case to keep from being battered around too much.
