"How do you get from one place to another? It might seem like a simple question, but when you're an omnipresent goddess there's a lot of options. Infinite options, in fact!
For a while, I just stuck to the easy stuff, like teleporting from place to place, moving the universe a couple light years one way or another, or just deleting my old body and creating a new one somewhere else. However, as I got more and more used to being human, my tastes began to change, and I started getting interested in human ways of getting around.

I started by experimenting with racing cars and motorcycles. If I'm being honest, it didn't do it for me. I have no idea how you humans can stand being so slow! That's not to say that I didn't enjoy the experience. I can't help but enjoy the feeling of tight leather around my body and the vibrations of a super “fast” motorcycle between my legs.

I moved on to more manual ways of getting around. A good set of indestructible shoes, breathable pants, and a cute T-shirt is the perfect outfit for running. I practiced running from here to Alpha Centauri and back again, with the feeling of the solar wind on my skin. The trip took less than an attosecond, and I was happy to find that my legs had become even more muscular from the exercise. Running was enjoyable for me, but for the people on Earth... not so much. Even a short jog from LA to NYC created a shockwave strong enough to shatter the Earth's crust, throw the Earth from its orbit, and level every structure taller than a molehill on the surface of the planet. I wasn't even going half of lightspeed, either!

After rewinding time, I decided that maybe I was going about this whole thing wrong. The point wasn't to get from place to place faster, it was to have fun and to move in style. As I pondered what the most fun way of getting around was, a set of long wings made of pure cosmic energy sprouted from my back. Grinning, I flapped my newly-made wings, and with a sonic boom I soared a couple miles up into the air. The sensation of the wind on my wings, the spectacle of the light reflected off the clouds, and the joy of feeling as light as air made me gasp with pleasure. I didn’t know exactly why it made me feel so wonderful to fly with wings of light. I had levitated many times before, and logically there wasn’t much difference between the two ways of flying. Maybe the dream of flying like a bird is part of being human, and now that I was becoming more human that dream was infecting me as well. “
