A drawing for an evil jayfeather au I came up with my friend, Rem4eva .

HERE’S THE AU: so basically jaykit isn’t given a chance to become a warrior and is instead given straight to leafpool to train as a medicine cat. After going to the mountains and finding out he’s a part of a prophecy with his destiny already laid out for him, he’s enraged that he can’t control his own future and even angrier at starclan for putting him in that position without even telling him straight up and instead they just threw a bunch of confusing riddles at him. In this au Jaypaw trains in the dark forest instead of Lionpaw, so one day when he’s at the moonpool and he encounters Brokenstar instead of Tigerstar and Hawkfrost. Feeding off of jaypaw’s disdain for starclan and not being given a chance to be a warrior, Brokenstar offers to train jaypaw (blind cat to blind cat), since he can see in his dreams anyway. Jaypaw accepts, eager to prove his fighting ability. After this, Jaypaw encounters Breezepaw numerous times (getting trapped in the badger den with him during the daylight gathering instead of lionpaw and being stuck with him in the tunnels trying to save those kits that one time with the rest of his siblings and Heatherpaw) before Brokenstar has the two of them meet in the dark forest to train and become battle brothers (parallel to Hawkfrost and Brambleclaw). Jaypaw wants nothing to do with Breezepaw until Brokenstar tells him straight up that they’re brothers and reveals his parentage. Jaypaw admires the dark forest not giving him any confusing riddles about the matter like starclan would and gains a hatred for his family, just as Breezepaw does and the two of them sort of bond over that and gradually become very close battle brothers (Jayfeather gets the scar on his side from Breezepaw still, just as a dark forest training scar).

Sol is ultimately scrapped from this au, he wasn’t really that important in the 3rd arc anyway. I’m addition to this, Jaypaw does not have a power (giving him more reason to hate starclan), and Hollypaw has a modified version of jaypaw’s power, being able to experience someone else’s dreams but not actually being able to tell who that dream belongs to. Anyway one night Brokenstar tells Jayfeather that the eclipse is going to happen soon and that he should use it as a fake sign from starclan saying that starclan has abandoned the clans in an attempt to get more cats to either go atheist and join the dark forest. Hollypaw snoops in on this, but she doesn’t know it was Jaypaw’s dream. The eclipse battle comes and lionpaw almost kills crowfeather like in the books but this time breezepelt tackles lionpaw off of his dad, wanting to kill crowfeather himself. Jaypaw shouts out his fake starclan sign as the eclipse darkens the sky. A select few cats eventually join Jaypaw and Breezepaw in the dark forest after believe starclan has abandoned them after this. Hollypaw is shocked and betrayed at the realization that Jaypaw is colluding with the dark forest.

When it’s time for Jaypaw to receive his full name at the moonpool, he refuses the name Jayfeather, knowing he’s being named after crowfeather and demands he be referred to as jaystrike. And storms off to the dark forest where Brokenstar warns him about Ashfur’s festering anger and that he’s planning to kill Jaystrike and his siblings. Jaystrike takes this warning and runs with it, asking to breezepelt to meet him at the windclan border, where ashfur dies in the books anyway, so that they can tag team him. They mark Ashfur’s body with an ‘x’ mark and leave a dead rabbit by his body.

During the fire, Squirrelflight is leading the three to safety before Jaystrike takes this opportunity to kill squirrelflight since she was severely wounded in the eclipse battle and reveals to his siblings their real parentage, hoping they’ll join him and breezepelt. Instead, Lionblaze and Hollyleaf later agree Jaystrike r and Breezepelt have to be stopped, from this point Hollyleaf acts as a spy on Jaystrike’s dreams. Jaystrike marks squirrelflight’s body with an ‘x’ mark and leaves a dead rabbit by her body after everyone’s gone.

Jaystrike’s next target is Leafpool. Furious that she never told him the entire time they worked and lived together. Jaystrike muffles leafpool before killing her Brokenstar style, scratching her eyes and blinding her before giving her death berries. The final body is marked with an ‘x’ mark and a dead rabbit is left by her body. The last on the hit list is Crowfeather. Jaystrike and Breezepelt catch him alone one night by the thunderclan boder and tag team him. Jaystrike scratched his opponent’s eyes, blinding them before he kills them every time. They mark his body with an ‘x’ mark and a dead rabbit.

Jaystrike an Breezepelt meet up by the moonpool one night to try to figure out a way to block medicine cat access to it, before Hollyleaf and Lionblaze confront them (Hollyleaf spied of Jaystrike’s dream to find out he was meeting Breezepelt here). The four of them have one last battle of crowfeather’s children. Lionblaze and Hollyleaf target Jaystrike put all their force and might into killing that menace. Horrified and suddenly reverting to his old cowardly self, Breezepelt betrays Jaystrike and flees the scene into the tunnels. The last thing Jaystrike sees is his brother leaving him behind as he screams for him to help him.
