EYYY 3 day weekend and also im bored so fuck yeah I'll take a meme thank you very much

1. Texas Chainsaw Massacre: MY FAVE HORROR MOVIE. its not really scary at all, but the way its filmed is pretty realistic I think. I love how clumsy the bad guys are, I love the big weird house, i love cannibalism, etc. Overall a great movie. This was a big inspiration for Hell Pig btw,,,,,,,
2. shitty living spaces/crappy apartments: At least 90% of my characters live in one and I probably will as well. i love them
3. Farel Dalrymple: His work is super super amazing. Go read The Wrenchies, Palefire, or his webcomic and check it out.
4. Dreams: pretty self-explanatory. I often lucid dream, so a lot of my story ideas come to life while im doing that.
5. Mike Mignola: I got his signature in my sketchbook like a month ago. He flipped through it a bit and said "your stuff is good and freaky". (best moment of my life) (i still get freaked out thinking about it)
6. shit posts: always a source of inspiration. i love shitty things
7. Craig Thompson: i love the simplicity of his work and how he uses black and white. i hope to draw a comic as long & great as Blankets one day, jesus christ.
8. The Road: the book and the movie are EQUALLY AMAZING and both MADE ME SOB FOR DAYS. idk why im drawn to these kinds of subjects/stories but THIS ONE is the BEST SAD THING EVER. its one of those things that you wanna draw fanart for, but you can't because...???? its too good? im crying
9. my own foolish ass: i struggle w/ anxiety, depression, anger issues, etc daily and its fun to try and draw them sometimes.
10. glass animals: their new album "How to be a human being" especially. i have a lot of music that influences me, but im choosing these guys because their music...tells a story? a good, scary story. verrrryyy good.
11. Rebecca Sugar: don't care much for the chibi steven universe style. Her old comics with nitty gritty foldy detail and lemon eyes are where its at
12. dadu shin: knows how to tell a story with a single drawing. superb work, technique, and nice hair
13. body horror: someone pls pay me to draw twisted disgusting things all day
